Based in the seaside suburb of Cottesloe in Perth, Western Australia, we specialise in creating high-end individual homes throughout Australia and internationally.

PHILIPPA MOWBRAY
DIRECTOR

Visionary, aesthetist, architectural powerhouse, Philippa graduated from The University of Western Australia and is a Registered Architect in WA. She founded Mowbray Architecture & Interiors in 1993 and has grown it into one of Australia’s most renowned and established names in High End Residential Architecture.

She is a member of The Royal Australian Institute of Architects and has also completed a Certificate Course in Interior Design and Decoration at the Inchbald School of Design, Belgravia, London. Philippa has been on many design juries for Architectural Awards and is an active member of the design profession.

Drawing on her experience living in London, France and Japan, along with the experience from her team who herald from all over the globe - Mowbray Architecture’s design focus aims to give thoughtful response to site, place and the client’s brief. With over 70 projects in the Mowbray Architecture portfolio, Philippa has experience in all aspects of residential design.

TRACEY METCALF
PRACTICE MANAGER

Tracey is the Practice Manager who is responsible for the day-to-day running of the practice. Tracey is pivotal in the team, responsible for keeping the cogs turning. Tracey previously worked at Infections West and The Joint Studio, where she honed her skills in scheduling, correspondence handling, and patient management. Beyond the office, Tracey enjoys Pilates, walking her dog Marley, and volunteering at local charities.

KATIE BARSDEN
PROJECT ARCHITECT

Katie is a Registered Architect with a Masters in Architecture from UWA. She has experience in running large scale, high- end residential projects and hotel refurbishments. Her passions are design and interiors. Her attention to detail often sees her heading up documentation programs and contract administration. She has been with Mowbray Architecture for the better part of 14 years, with a couple of years also at Lawrence Scanlan Architects in the hospitality sector.

PHIN GLOVER
PROJECT ARCHITECT

Phin has a veritable feast of experience across all sectors. Prior to joining us, Phin worked on various international luxury resorts, villas, multi-residential projects and luxury refurbishments both locally and in London.

Phin’s role at Mowbray Architecture has been in Project Delivery of large scale residential projects. Responsible for tendering, contract administration and also the letting and management of interiors packages. Attention to detail is his forte and the key to achieving from contractors the quality we demand at Mowbray Architecture.

LOUISE OLLEREARNSHAW
PROJECT ARCHITECT

Louise is a Registered Architect from the renowned UK University of Sheffield and prestigious Bartlett School of Planning. Her expertise and unwavering sense of calm make her an invaluable member of our team.

Her previous experience in the UK was with both large-scale developments and heritage renovation projects in the Commercial and Residential space.

TOMIKA O'DWYER
PROJECT ARCHITECT

Drawing from a diverse portfolio, Tomika brings a versatile approach to design, blending creativity with technical expertise to create spaces that are not only visually compelling but thoughtfully designed. With a wide range of experience across high-end residential design, multi-residential, student housing, and commercial developments, she takes a collaborative approach to design, ensuring that each project reflects the individual needs and lifestyle of the client. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to exceeding client expectations, Tomika is dedicated to creating meaningful, impactful spaces that enhance the built environment and enrich the living experience.

KATE HAMLIN
PROJECT ARCHITECT

Kate is a Registered Architect with a passion for narrative driven architecture and interiors. After working with Mowbray Architecture for a period she embarked on travel abroad to work at award winning Interior Design firm Ste Marie Studio in Canada – leading up multi-residential and hospitality projects across Vancouver, Los Angeles and Chicago. Kate has a keen interest in how people move through space and she takes great care to deliver on built experiences that both surprise and delight.

GRADUATE OF ARCHITECTURE

Mowbray Architecture life timer - Georgia is a highly focused designer with a passion for well curated, organised and functional spaces. Her commitment to her studies of Architecture along with her Scholarship and Graduate Awards illustrate her excellence. Honing her experience with this close knit team, her technical ability, intelligence and work ethic are a great asset to any project.

INTERIOR DESIGNER

A conceptual thinker and design addict, Emiko is a dreamer of spaces where the dimensions of life (work,play, travel, rest) not only come together, but collide in spectacular ways. An academic background in Arts & Communications plus an Interior Architecture degree equips her with the ability to resolve project challenges via unconventional and innovative methods. With international experience in commercial and residential interiors across Perth, Tokyo, London & Sydney Emiko brings an eclectic and detail oriented approach to local interiors.
